A place I was keen to avoid. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect, but my wife, being the culinary tourist that she is, convinced me. A small, extremely cozy place with a very entertaining decor, it's a sensory beauty. More affordable prices compared to the surrounding restaurants and a superior seasoning make this a place worth visiting and enjoying more than once. Impeccable service and cleanliness. Appetizer: Oxtail Tostadas... what an incredible and delicious dish. Honestly, starting with this is setting the bar very high for the following dishes, a delight from the first moment. Appetizer: Taco Rumorosa... another culinary delight, but truth be told, it pales in comparison to the explosion of flavor of the oxtail tostadas. Main Course: Pork Jowl Ciabatta... a great plus is that neither the meat nor the bread is dry; on the contrary, the juicy meat, without being overly so, and the fluffy bread create a perfect blend when you bite into it and place it on your palate. Appetizer (main course for fat people): Pressed Pork Rind Tostada... another excellent blend of flavors and textures, not quite up to par with the Oxtail Tostadas. Downside: The beer wasn't at a comfortable temperature; although it was cold, it wasn't at the necessary point of coldness.
